Social Protection and Livelihood Security
The aim of the programme is to familiarize the participants with the social protection programmes and to develop techniques and strategies for initiating micro-level livelihood programmes.

THE OBJECTIVES:
  • Acquaint participants with concepts of social protection
  • Familiarize participants with the social protection programmes and micro level experiments in the country
  • Understand the role of different institutional mechanisms to deliver social protection and sustainable livelihood
  • Discuss the role of government, trade unions and community leaders for initiating rural livelihood protection programmes
Government Officials and Representatives of Central Trade Unions
 
ELIGIBILITY
 
1. Participants should be above 22 years and below 50 years of age;
2. Should be personally engaged at grass root level activities for at least past two years or implementing government livelihood programmes;
3. Should be fluent in either Hindi or English.

Lectures, individual and group presentations, sharing case studies.
