Rakkee Thimothy,
Associate Fellow at the V. V. Giri National Labour Institute
has submitted her PhD dissertation on Employment Generation in
Indian Service Sector at Centre for Economic Studies and
Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Earlier she
had secured MPhil Degree in Applied Economics from Centre for
Development Studies, Trivandrum.
Before joining
this Institute she had associated with Centre for Socio
Economic and Environmental Studies (CSES) Kochi, National
Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganized Sector and
Centre for Development and Human Rights, New Delhi. Having
more than five years research experience, she has presented
research papers in academic conferences and has publications
to her credit in reputed academic journals. Her current
research interests include, Dynamics of Employment and
Economic Growth, Labour and Migration, Gender and Development
and Informal Economy.
